Description
The Circle One 9'1 Heritage is a classic trim longboard for riders chasing that effortless, feet-in-the-wax gliding feel. Built on a traditional longboard template with a stable, walkable platform, it's shaped for cross-stepping and time on the nose while staying easier to manage in the water than a full-length "log".
What's it built from?
- EPS high-density pressurised foam core — light, responsive and buoyant
- Epoxy resin — stronger than polyester resin, with better impact resistance and a superior strength-to-weight ratio
- Premium Porcher E-Glass fibreglass — for exceptional durability and consistent flex
- Crosslink reinforcement on deck and rails for maximum impact resistance
- Unidirectional full-length 4-ply wood stringer — strength and controlled flex
- Hot coat durable outer shield finish, topped with a rich gloss resin tint — available in Bottle Green, Teal Blue or Duck Egg
What makes the finish special?
The Heritage range uses a premium epoxy resin tint — a traditional technique that colours the resin itself rather than painting over it, for a deep, translucent finish. Every board is hand-laminated and hand-finished, so the tint creates unique colours and sometimes patterns, making each board a one-of-a-kind piece. It's shaped using modernised templates by Jeff Townsley, founder of Circle One and an OG of British shaping since the 1970s.
Fin setup
Runs a 2+1 setup: two FCS II side finboxes (the tool-free system compatible with the full FCS II range), plus a standard longbox centre fin box that takes any screw-and-plate centre fin. Fins are sold separately, so you can dial in the exact ride you want.
Sizing
9'1" x 23¼" x 3" — 82.59 litres.
Who it's for
- Surfers who want to master classic longboarding — cross-stepping, trimming, nose time

Rider verdict
A proper trim machine — stable enough to learn cross-stepping on, and good-looking enough that you'll want to keep it as a daily rider once you have.
