Description
The TAHE Java Fishing is a long, narrow sit-on-top kayak built for anglers and paddlers who want speed and glide over stability — at over 4 metres it tracks straight and holds speed between strokes, but its length makes it a boat for paddlers who already have some time in the seat.
Built for fishing and longer trips
A generous rear deck with bungee storage and fishing-friendly fittings mean you can rig it for angling, or simply use it as a fast tourer for exploring further afield. It can also be converted into a sea kayak.
- Long, glide-efficient hull — 410cm length cuts through the water and holds speed between strokes
- Twin Sheet Technology (TST) construction — thermoformed, UV-treated polyethylene for a durable, scratch-resistant hull
- Integral transport rollers — wheel it to the water solo, then remove them for maximum paddling speed
- Adjustable footrests — dial in the fit for your height and paddling position
- Large rear storage area with criss-cross bungees — plenty of room to rig for a day's fishing or touring
- Anti-slip carry handles and rail pads — easier to carry and to strap to roof bars
Sizing
- Length/width — 410cm x 71cm
- Weight — 29kg
- Max load — 150kg
- Capacity — 1 adult
Who it's for
Anglers and touring paddlers who want a fast, efficient sit-on-top for longer days on the water — not the easiest first kayak, but a rewarding one once you've got some miles in.
Rider verdict
A genuine performance sit-on-top that trades a little initial stability for glide and speed — ideal once you've outgrown a beginner boat and want to cover more water, faster.
