Every leash we stock for wing foiling, parawinging and downwind foiling, in one place — board leashes, wrist leashes, waist and knee leashes, and the belts that go with them.

A leash is the cheapest bit of safety kit you will ever buy and the one people think about least. If it lets go, your board is downwind of you in seconds and you are swimming. If it is the wrong type, it tangles, drags, or wraps round your foil at exactly the wrong moment.

Which leash do you actually need?

Board leash — connects you to the board. Non-negotiable. Waist and knee versions keep the cord clear of your feet and are what most wing and downwind riders end up on. Ankle and calf leashes are simpler and cheaper, but they sit closer to the foil.

Wrist leash — connects you to the wing. A separate job from the board leash, and you want both.

Parawing leashes — a parawing needs its own thinking. Board leash plus a bar leash, and tangle-free routing matters far more than it does on a wing.

We ride this gear at Wallasey and West Kirby most weeks, and we are happy to tell you when the cheaper leash is the right one. Give us a call or drop into the shop if you are not sure what suits how you ride.
