Description
The Mystic Majestic Fullsuit 3/2mm Fzip is the top of Mystic's men's wetsuit range — built for riders who want the warmest, most flexible 3/2mm front-zip suit money can buy. Yamamoto 40 neoprene panels sit at the chest and arms, Fox Fleece Ultra lines every centimetre of the interior, and GBS seams with 100% waterproof stretch tape lock out cold water. This is not a beginner suit with a premium badge. It's a properly engineered piece of kit designed to outperform everything below it in the range.
The Majestic suits kitesurfers, wingfoilers, pumpfoilers, and SUP paddlers who spend serious time in the water across spring, summer, and autumn. In the Irish Sea and around the Wirral, that covers a long window. At 3/2mm it's ideal from roughly April through to October for most riders, with the high-grade neoprene and Fox Fleece Ultra lining buying you extra warmth compared to suits of the same nominal thickness.
Who It's For
- Disciplines: Kitesurfing, wingfoiling, pumpfoiling, SUP
- Level: All levels — particularly riders who session frequently and want comfort to match performance
- Season: Spring, summer, and autumn UK sessions; late-season if you run warm
- Best for: Anyone who has worn mid-range suits and knows the difference quality neoprene makes
Key Features
- Yamamoto 40 neoprene panels (chest & arms) — The highest grade in Yamamoto's range at 383% elasticity. Strategically placed at the chest and arms where freedom of movement matters most, giving you unrestricted paddling and kite/wing control without the suit pulling back against you
- Fox Fleece Ultra lining — Full interior coverage, top to bottom. Mystic's warmest thermal lining to date, with 50% recycled content and a two-tone finish. Soft against the skin, traps heat efficiently, and dries faster than heavier fleece alternatives
- Ridged channel outer construction — The outer stretch fabric uses a ridged channel structure that channels water away quickly, gives the neoprene rebound so it holds its shape session after session, and adds durability without adding weight or stiffness
- GBS seams + 100% waterproof stretch taping — Glued blind stitched seams sealed with fully waterproof stretch tape throughout. Water stays out of the seams, full stop. The stretch tape means the seam construction doesn't create rigid lines that restrict movement
- Front-zip entry — Horizontal chest zip allows a clean, flexible back panel with no central spine zipper. Entry is straightforward once you're used to the system, and the zip sits flat so there's nothing digging in when you're on the board
- Refined panelling — Cut and construction updated for 2026 with reduced seam lines in high-flex zones, giving a cleaner feel and fewer pressure points during extended sessions
- 50% recycled content in the Fox Fleece Ultra lining — Mystic's sustainability commitment built into their flagship suit, not just the entry-level range
Real-World Feel
The honest version: the Majestic costs more than the Motion for a reason, and you'll feel it from the first session. The Yamamoto 40 panels at the chest and arms genuinely change how the suit moves with you — especially when you're sheeting in hard, pumping a foil, or taking a heavy wipeout that needs you back up quickly. The Motion is a solid suit; the Majestic is a noticeably better one. The Fox Fleece Ultra lining is also warmer than you might expect from a 3/2mm — on a cool April morning on the Dee, you'll notice the difference compared to cheaper fleece linings. It's also fast to dry between sessions if you're doing back-to-backs, which matters more than people give it credit for. The ridged channel outer sheds water quickly and the neoprene doesn't go saggy or baggy with repeated use. Across a full season, a quality suit pays for itself in comfort and longevity. The Majestic is built to last.
Setup & Fit
The front-zip entry uses a horizontal chest zip. To get in, lean forward, slide your legs and torso in, then work the zip across once your arms are through. It takes a couple of sessions to get your routine dialled, but it's not difficult. The benefit is a completely uninterrupted back panel — no central zip, no restriction down your spine. The Majestic is available in standard sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) plus short cuts (MS, LS) for riders with a shorter torso and tall cuts (MT, LT) for riders who need more length. If you're between a standard and short, or between a standard and tall, the short/tall cuts exist specifically for you — a suit that fits in the body length makes a significant difference to seal quality and warmth. When in doubt between two sizes, size down: a snugger fit retains heat better and performs better in the water.

Size Chart
| Size | Height (cm) | Chest (cm) | Waist (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 170–175 | 89–94 | 75–80 |
| MS (Short) | 166–171 | 89–94 | 75–80 |
| MT (Tall) | 176–182 | 89–94 | 75–80 |
| M | 175–180 | 94–99 | 80–85 |
| L | 180–185 | 99–104 | 85–90 |
| LS (Short) | 175–180 | 99–104 | 85–90 |
| LT (Tall) | 185–191 | 99–104 | 85–90 |
| XL | 182–188 | 104–110 | 90–96 |
| XXL | 184–190 | 110–117 | 96–103 |
Sizes are based on Mystic's standard men's wetsuit sizing. If you're between sizes, go snugger — a close fit retains heat better. Short (MS, LS) and Tall (MT, LT) cuts carry the same chest/waist as the standard size but are cut shorter or longer in the body and legs.
Pairs Well With
If you're investing in a flagship suit, pair it with kit that matches. A good set of boots and gloves extends your season significantly — hands and feet are where the cold gets in first. For after-session comfort and protecting the suit between sessions, take a look at our range of changing mats and dry robes. A decent changing mat on a Wirral car park beach makes a real difference in February — or even September.
Why We Stock It
We're a rider-owned shop on the Wirral. Most of us session the Dee estuary, West Kirby, and Hoylake — water that runs cold for a long stretch of the year. We stock the Majestic because it's the suit we'd point a regular session rider towards when they're ready to step up from a mid-range suit and stop compromising on warmth or stretch. The Motion is excellent for the money. The One Zip-Free is a brilliant suit for summer and warmer months — that zip-free entry is hard to beat for ease of use. But if you want the absolute top of the front-zip range, maximum thermal performance in a 3/2mm, and Yamamoto 40 neoprene doing the work at the chest and arms, the Majestic is the one. We recommend it over The One when front-zip entry suits your preference and you want the extra flex from Yamamoto 40 panels specifically. We recommend it over the Motion when warmth and longevity over many seasons are the priority.
FAQs
What is Yamamoto 40 neoprene and why does it matter?
Yamamoto is a Japanese manufacturer whose neoprene is widely regarded as the best in the world. Their numbering system reflects the grade: the higher the number, the more flexible and lightweight the rubber. #40 is their highest grade — it has 383% elasticity and is noticeably softer and more supple than the grades below it. The trade-off is that it's more delicate, which is why it's used selectively in the chest and arm panels of the Majestic rather than across the whole suit. At those specific locations, you get maximum freedom of movement without the suit fatiguing your arms or chest during long sessions. It's an expensive material, which is part of why the Majestic sits at the top of the range.
How does the Majestic compare to the Mystic The One 4/3mm Zipfree?
They're different suits for different use cases. The One uses Yamamoto 39 neoprene with a zip-free entry — it's an excellent summer/spring suit with incredibly easy entry (no zip to faff with) and great all-round stretch. The Majestic uses Yamamoto 40 at the chest and arms — a grade up in flexibility — combined with a front-zip entry. If you want zip-free convenience and the 4/3mm thickness for cooler autumn and spring water, The One is strong. If you want the very best flexibility in a 3/2mm, prefer front-zip, and are prioritising warm-water season performance with a suit that'll last many seasons, the Majestic is the one to choose. The Majestic also features the GBS + 100% waterproof stretch taping seam system, which matches The One on seam quality.
Is a 3/2mm wetsuit warm enough for UK waters?
That depends on the time of year and where you're riding. UK sea temperatures around the North West typically range from around 8–9°C in late winter to 17–18°C in August. A 3/2mm is comfortable from roughly late April through to late October for most riders, though some run warm enough to push that window a little further in either direction. For anything outside that window — particularly November through March in the Irish Sea — you'd want a 4/3mm or 5/3mm. The Majestic's Fox Fleece Ultra lining and Yamamoto 40 panels do give you a bit more thermal margin than a standard 3/2mm, but they don't change the laws of physics. If the water is 9°C, you want more neoprene.
What's the difference between the Majestic and the Mystic Motion?
The Motion sits below the Majestic in Mystic's range and uses a different grade of neoprene. The Motion is a genuinely good front-zip wetsuit at a lower price point. The Majestic upgrades you to Yamamoto 40 panels at the chest and arms, Fox Fleece Ultra lining throughout, and a more refined panel construction. In practical terms: the Majestic is warmer, more flexible at the shoulders and chest, and built to hold up over more seasons. If budget allows, the Majestic is worth the step up for regular riders.
How does the front-zip entry work on the Majestic?
The Majestic uses a horizontal zip that runs across the chest. To enter the suit, you step in through the neck opening while the zip is open, work your legs and torso into position, feed your arms through, then pull the zip across and secure the flap. The absence of a spine zip means the entire back panel is clean, uninterrupted neoprene — which improves thermal performance and flexibility in the back. Most riders get comfortable with the entry system after a couple of sessions. If you find a front-zip awkward, the Mystic The One range offers a zip-free option.
How should I care for my Majestic to make it last?
Rinse it thoroughly in fresh water after every session — salt and sand degrade neoprene over time. Turn it inside out to dry in the shade; direct UV breaks down neoprene faster than salt water does. Avoid machine washing and tumble drying. Store it flat or hung loosely — don't leave it folded or crammed in a bag between sessions. Treat it well and a suit of this quality should last you several seasons of regular use.
