Beach Side Location in New Brighton, Wirral | Wallasey Beach.
Just a short drive from Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, North Wales and the Midlands. The Wirral peninsula offers a variety of spots that covers nearly all wind directions and provides lots of flat water areas and lagoons. The majority of our lessons take place at Wallasey Beach in flat water lagoons, where the vast waist deep water couldn’t be more perfect to take your first steps into kitesports.
Northern Kites HQ is based on Coastal Drive within Wallasey Beach Club. We are situated 100 meters from the beach, forming the perfect base for our kiteboarding and water sport services. We have a classroom, chill area, changing facilities, bar, beer garden, BBQ and ample kiteboarding kit for demo.
We welcome a friendly local community who are as excited as us about riding in the Norths kiteboarding capital!
Safe directions from South West through to North East. Wind from the East can be gusty due to traveling over Liverpool.
9 Day forcast. Generaly only the next 3 days can be trusted.
It is not advised to kitesurf 2 hours on either side of high tide due to very choppy water and lack of beach.
We get big tidal ranges. Especially on a big spring tide, the water can be around 15 minutes walk away on the low tide.
Flat water with small waves. Big shore break on spring high tides
Generally, Wallasey Beach is very safe. Please take note of the items highlighted in red below.
The shipwreck and spikes are located around 1km from the sea wall. This is only visible and a risk on low spring tide.
Free parking is available on all roads and car parks located around Wallasey Beach. Most people will park on Coastal Drive outside Club House
Facilities are available to Northern Kites Students and members of Wallasey Beach Club. Non members must be signed in by a full member.

This helmet has been absolutely great. Bought it for summer winging, it does a great job keeping the sun off my face and neck, providing much more sunshade than my normal helmet, the brim is stiff enough to hold its shape when wet and in strong winds, and doesn’t restrict visibility. It feels comfy and flexible, but still feels like it offers good impact protection. Dries quickly enough in the sun. All in all very happy with it.

Really glad I got hold of this trainer kite which has helped me practise when the wind wasn't quite right for getting on the water. The bar comes with a chicken loop and final eject, just like the real deal. Self launching is simple, place the kite upside down on the ground with the leading edge downwind, give the lines a pull and you're away! The depower bar isn't quite the same as a full kite but definitely simulates the increase in pull.

It's more comfortable to wear compared to a hard-shell helmet. I hardly notice it is there. You get much less water running into your eyes after you fall in which is a bonus. Also, I've used it in the rain; the brim is just big enough to keep some of it off your face so that you can still see where you're going.
A great rear stab stable, but easy to turn.

The kite arrived promptly minus the free hand leash. After a couple of messages the hand leash was duly posted out with no problems.
This kite flies like a dream. The video attached shows me flying the kite in 7-8mph winds. I’ve also flown in 15mph winds but this needed more concentration and if you aren’t focusing 100% then you could get uprooted! I would definitely recommend this kite from this company.
