Description
If you could only own one front wing, the AFS Enduro would make a strong case for being it. Designed by Laurent Borgna and refined across multiple seasons of real-world feedback, it's the most versatile wing in the AFS foil line-up — an AR11 high-aspect wing that genuinely delivers across wing foiling, SUP foiling, prone surfing and downwind without feeling like a compromise in any of them.
The range spans seven sizes from 600 to 1300 cm², covering everyone from lighter riders in solid conditions to heavier riders chasing low-wind glide. All sizes share the same carbon prepreg construction, the same Fuselink mount system, and the same design philosophy: lift and glide that punches above its aspect ratio, with a manoeuvrability that makes you forget the numbers.
Who It's For
The Enduro is the right call for riders who want one wing that does real work across multiple disciplines. If you're wing foiling on the Wirral in 15 knots on a Tuesday, paddling into waves at the weekend and eyeing up a downwind run on a good day, this is your wing. It suits intermediate riders who are ready to step up from a learner setup, through to experienced foilers who want a versatile quiver weapon alongside a more specialist option. The larger sizes (1000–1300 cm²) make genuinely excellent first foils for SUP downwind, while the smaller sizes (600–800 cm²) reward progression into tighter carving and faster freeride.

On the Foil
Riding the Enduro for the first time, the most immediate impression is the glide — it carries speed through dead patches and transitions with less effort than you'd expect from a wing that also turns this well. The AR11 design means it's efficient enough to generate real momentum from a SUP paddle but planted enough to rail into carving turns without the wingtip-dragging anxiety that high-aspect wings can produce.
The 900 cm² is the most popular all-rounder in the range — experienced foilers have described it as riding like a longboard in a carving turn, smooth and forgiving all the way through the arc. The 1300 earns its place as a go-to for SUP downwind and early progression, with a 1190 mm span and glide at low speeds that The Foiling Magazine described as "just insane and unmatched." Step down to the 1100 for the same character with a lighter swing weight more suited to riders under approximately 80 kg. The smaller sizes — 700 and 800 — bring the Enduro into quick-turning freeride territory, while still retaining the easy early lift that makes the range so usable.
Compared to the Ultra, the Enduro is friendlier across a wider skill range and more at home in varied, unpredictable conditions. It lacks the Ultra's extreme glide ceiling but more than makes up for it in day-to-day versatility.
Compatibility & Setup
The Enduro uses AFS's Fuselink connection system — two M8 bolts connect the wing to the fuselage via a precision conical interface, creating a rigid and quick-release joint. You'll need an AFS Fuselink fuselage (standard or short length depending on your riding style) and a Fuselink-compatible AFS mast (UHM, HM or HR). The Enduro is also compatible with the AFS Switch fuselage if you're running an older Performer mast. This is a closed proprietary system — not compatible with a standard US box track without an AFS adapter. All current AFS stabilisers, including the Glide 41, pair with the Enduro across all sizes. We'll help you spec the right fuselage length and stab at point of purchase.
Construction
Every Enduro wing is built using a dual-carbon prepreg layup: T700 standard-modulus carbon for toughness and impact resistance forms the structural base, with UHM M46J ultra-high-modulus carbon adding the stiffness required for efficient power transmission through the wing. The result is a wing that's light, stiff and resistant to the flexing that robs performance on longer glide cycles. All manufacture takes place in France under AFS's own quality control.

Why We Stock It
The Enduro is the wing we point most new and progressing foilers towards when they want a single front wing that won't limit them as their riding evolves. It's genuinely impressive across disciplines, built to a standard that justifies the price, and designed by people who clearly ride what they build. As a rider-owned shop, that's exactly the kind of kit we want on the shelves.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the Enduro and the Enduro GLT?
The Enduro GLT (Grande Légèreté de Temps — effectively "big light-touch") is a single 1600 cm² wing developed specifically for maximum light-wind lift, easy dock starts and SUP paddle entries. Think of it as the Enduro concept taken to its most accessible extreme. The standard Enduro tops out at 1300 cm² and covers a much wider range of conditions and disciplines. If you're already foiling confidently and need an all-rounder, the Enduro is the answer. If you're starting out on a SUP or need maximum light-wind performance, the GLT is worth considering alongside the larger Enduro sizes.
Is the Enduro suitable for beginners?
The larger sizes — 1100 and 1300 — are genuinely accessible for riders making their first steps in wing foiling or SUP foiling. The 900 is a great step-up wing once you're flying consistently. The 600 and 700 reward more confident, experienced foilers. If you're brand new to foiling, we'd suggest pairing a 1000 cm² or larger with a stable board and booking a lesson — come and chat to us and we'll point you in the right direction.
Does the Enduro work for prone surf foiling?
Yes — the Enduro's lift-to-drag ratio and progressive stall character make it excellent for prone foiling. The 800 and 900 are particularly popular for surf, giving enough early lift to catch slower beach break energy while still having the manoeuvrability to pump between sections. The 700 suits faster, more powerful surf. Riders regularly use the same Enduro wing across wing foiling and prone sessions without compromise.
What mast and fuselage do I need for the Enduro?
You need an AFS Fuselink fuselage and an AFS Fuselink-compatible mast (UHM, HM or HR range). The Enduro is not compatible with standard US box tracks without an adapter. If you're coming from an older AFS Performer mast, the Switch fuselage allows you to use Enduro wings without replacing your mast. We stock the full AFS mast and fuselage range — contact us and we'll spec out the complete setup.
Which Enduro size should I buy for downwind SUP foiling?
The 1100 and 1300 are the natural starting points for SUP downwind — maximum glide at low speeds, forgiving early lift, and enough span to catch small runner energy. Heavier riders (90 kg+) and those in low-energy swell will benefit from the 1300. As your downwind technique and fitness improves you can step down to the 1000 or 900. The Enduro GLT 1600 is also worth considering if you're starting completely from scratch on flat water.
How does the Enduro compare to the AFS Ultra?
Both wings share high-aspect ratio thinking, but the Ultra pushes further in specialisation — higher AR, more demanding feel, most at home in established downwind conditions with an experienced pilot. The Enduro has been deliberately shaped to feel intuitive across a broader range of conditions and disciplines, making it the more practical everyday choice for the majority of UK foilers riding variable conditions. If you need one wing for everything, the Enduro wins. If you're specifically building a downwind or pump setup and are already comfortable on high-aspect gear, the Ultra is the next step.
