Description

The Armstrong Surf is a dedicated prone surf foilboard, shaped for riders who paddle into waves and foil rather than tow, wing or pump. It's built for confident, responsive turns once you're up on foil, while still being genuinely easy to catch waves on.

Why does it paddle so well?

  • Full nose outline — extra paddling comfort so you can get into position and catch waves with less effort
  • Gradually tapering rails and flat deck — smooths out the paddle and pop-up so you can focus on timing the wave
  • Subtle bottom contours — keep water flowing swiftly under the board for a cleaner glide onto foil

How does it hold up to regular sessions?

  • Dual carbon stringers — added rigidity through the board for a more direct, responsive feel
  • Double-skin PVC sandwich construction — built tough for durability session after session

What about foot grip and control on foil?

  • Micro-cutout deck grip — balances secure footing with the freedom to reposition mid-ride
  • Wide rear kick pad — extra purchase for pumping and carving once you're up
  • Proprietary carbon foil tracks, positioned aft — keeps the mast balanced under the rider for a more natural stance
  • Small chines — help the board recover quickly on touchdown, so a bumpy landing doesn't end your wave

Who it's for

Prone surf foilers, from those refining their wave-catching and pop-up through to experienced riders wanting a small, responsive shape for critical surf. It's built for paddle-power surf foiling rather than wing or tow-assisted sessions.

Rider verdict

A proper surf-specific shape rather than a jack-of-all-trades — if prone foiling in waves is your main focus, the dedicated paddling outline and aft-positioned foil tracks make a noticeable difference out on the water.
