Description

The Naish Motion Nvision is the premium carbon version of Naish's best-selling Motion freeride and freestyle twintip. Part of the Naish 2026 Nvision series, it takes the same proven Motion outline and upgrades the construction to 3K Carbon laminate and a hybrid paulownia wood/exotic polymer foam core — cutting weight by around 26% compared to the standard Motion while sharpening response, pop and landing feel. Three sizes — 134, 138 and 142 cm — cover the range from lighter technical riders to heavier all-round freeriders.

The strategic hybrid core places paulownia wood through the centre and under the inserts — where strength and durability matter most — and exotic polymer foam in the outer zones to strip away weight without compromising the board's structural integrity. 3K Carbon cloth replaces the fibreglass laminate of the standard Motion, adding stiffness, direct feedback and improved energy transfer through the board. A central spine channels water cleanly for grip and release, and spreads impact load on landings for a more controlled touchdown. The 4.5 cm G-10 asymmetric fins and Haptic Handle complete the build.

Who It's For

The Motion Nvision is aimed at intermediate to advanced freeriders and freestyle riders who want the absolute best performance available from the Motion platform. If you have ridden the standard Motion and want noticeably sharper pop, quicker response and a lighter feel — or if you are stepping up from a heavier board and want to understand what carbon construction actually changes on the water — the Nvision is the logical next step. It works equally for boosting big air, throwing freestyle tricks and straightforward powered-up freeride sessions, without being a single-discipline specialist.

Key Features

  • 3K Carbon laminate — premium carbon cloth construction for maximum stiffness, response and energy transfer; noticeably lighter than fibreglass
  • Hybrid paulownia wood / exotic polymer foam core — wood where strength is needed (centre, inserts), foam where weight savings are available; approximately 26% lighter than the standard Motion
  • Central spine (Keel Lock Spine) — channels water for grip and release; spreads landing impact load for smoother, more controlled touchdowns
  • 4.5 cm G-10 asymmetric fins — tuned for grip and upwind drive; asymmetric profile improves performance in both heelside and toeside turns
  • Haptic Handle — grip and control element that improves board feel and connection underfoot
  • Flex Tips — liquid TPU-filled tip cutouts provide progressive tip flex, reducing vibration and adding control through loaded carves
  • Centred inserts — flip the board rail-to-rail to spread wear and extend board life
  • 3D bottom shaping — bottom channels add grip and control; deck shape improves connection between stance and fins for more locked-in edging

Real-World Feel

Picking up the Motion Nvision next to the standard Motion, the weight difference is immediately obvious. On the water, that weight saving translates into a quicker, snappier feel: the board loads and releases faster, pop is more explosive, and it comes back to your feet cleaner after aerial manoeuvres. The 3K Carbon laminate also reduces flex under hard loading, which means you feel more direct feedback from the water through the board — useful when you are trying to dial in edging technique or time a jump precisely. For freeride use, it is simply a better-performing version of an already good board. It does not demand more from you technically, but it rewards better inputs more readily. The central spine and Flex Tips keep landings from feeling harsh despite the increased stiffness.

Setup and Fit

The Motion Nvision comes with 4.5 cm G-10 asymmetric fins fitted. The asymmetric fin design is tuned to improve performance in both heelside and toeside directions, giving the board a more neutral feel through turns. Centred inserts allow the board to be ridden in either direction to spread wear — this is worth doing regularly given the premium build. Pad and strap options are available separately through the twintips, pads and fins collection. The Motion Nvision does not require any specific pads or straps beyond your personal preference — standard Naish pads and straps work well.

Materials and Construction

The Motion Nvision uses 3K Carbon cloth as the primary laminate — 3K refers to the density of carbon fibres in the weave, providing a well-balanced combination of stiffness, weight and impact resistance. The core is a hybrid construction: paulownia wood runs through the centre of the board and under the insert zones (where stiffness and durability are needed), and exotic polymer foam fills the outer zones to reduce overall board weight. This targeted approach achieves around 26% weight reduction compared to the all-wood standard Motion build without sacrificing structural integrity.

Size Guide

Size Best For
134 cm Lighter riders (~55–70 kg) or those leaning towards technical freestyle and precise feel
138 cm Mid-weight riders (~65–80 kg); the all-round sweet spot for most freeride and freestyle use
142 cm Heavier riders (~75–90 kg) or anyone wanting a more relaxed, stable feel with better light-wind performance

The 138 is the most popular size and works for the widest range of riders and conditions. If you are between sizes, lighter riders and those focused on freestyle tricks tend to go down; heavier riders or those in lighter-wind areas tend to go up. Contact us if you want a personal recommendation.

Pairs Well With

The Motion Nvision's responsive build suits kites that deliver precise, direct power — all-round kites with a well-defined sweet spot rather than very open, direct-power kites that can overload a stiff board. The Naish Pivot and similar all-round kites work well. For freestyle and boosting sessions, a 9–12 m kite covers most powered conditions. A reliable bar and lines setup with clean depower is worth investing in alongside a board at this level. Why We Stock It

The Nvision range exists because there is a meaningful difference between good construction and premium construction — and the Motion Nvision makes that difference tangible rather than theoretical. At £999 it is a significant investment, but riders who have moved from the standard Motion to the Nvision consistently report that the performance step is real and noticeable. As a rider-owned shop we would not stock it if we did not believe the price was justified by the product.

FAQs

What is the difference between the Naish Motion and the Naish Motion Nvision?

The Motion Nvision uses 3K Carbon laminate and a hybrid paulownia wood/exotic polymer foam core instead of the all-wood core and fibreglass laminate of the standard Motion. This makes the Nvision approximately 26% lighter with sharper response, more explosive pop and improved landing feel. The shape and outline are the same; the construction and performance ceiling are meaningfully higher.

Is the Naish Motion Nvision 2026 worth the price over the standard Motion?

If you are an intermediate to advanced rider who spends significant time on the water and values board feel, pop and weight, then yes — the performance difference is real and consistent. If you are still building technique or kite fewer than 50 days a year, the standard Motion represents better value and the gap in performance will matter less.

What fins come with the Naish Motion Nvision 2026?

The Motion Nvision comes with 4.5 cm G-10 asymmetric fins. The asymmetric profile improves performance in both heelside and toeside turns, giving the board a more neutral, consistent feel regardless of direction.

What is the hybrid core in the Naish Motion Nvision?

The hybrid core combines paulownia wood (in the centre and under the inserts, where strength and stiffness are needed) with exotic polymer foam (in the outer zones, where weight reduction is the priority). This targeted approach achieves significant weight savings without weakening the board where it matters most.

Can a beginner ride the Naish Motion Nvision 2026?

Technically yes, but it is not the ideal choice. The responsive, stiff build rewards good technique — a beginner will get more useful feedback and faster progression from a more forgiving board like the Naish RPT. Save the Nvision for when you are riding confidently and want to extract more from your equipment.

What size Naish Motion Nvision should I choose?

The 138 cm is the sweet spot for most riders (approximately 65–80 kg). Lighter riders or those focused on technical freestyle should consider the 134; heavier riders or anyone wanting more planing area should look at the 142. Contact us for a more specific recommendation based on your weight and riding style.
