Description
The Sabfoil Blackbird Stabiliser range is a set of T8 carbon rear wings built to pair with Sabfoil's Blackbird, Razor, Balz Pro and Leviathan Pro front wings, available in three Progressive sizes (345, 365, 385) plus the 375 Downwind. Each size delivers a different blend of speed, roll response and glide, so you can tune your hydrofoil's feel without changing the front wing.
The Progressive series runs from the loose, ultra-agile 345 through to the more stable, glide-friendly 385, while the 375 Downwind swaps character entirely for maximum efficiency on long glides. As part of the Sabfoil stabiliser range, all four use the T8 fuselage connection.
Who It's For
- Discipline: Freestyle, wave, all-round freeride and downwind, depending on size chosen
- Level: Intermediate to advanced riders fine-tuning a Blackbird or compatible T8 front wing
- Best for: Riders wanting to dial in roll freedom versus stability without buying a new front wing
Key Features
- Progressive 345 – 345mm span, 125cm² surface, the smallest and loosest, for advanced freestyle, fast carving and tight surf turns
- Progressive 365 – 365mm span, 145cm² surface, a balanced all-rounder for freeride winging, wave foiling and freestyle progression
- Progressive 385 – 385mm span, 165cm² surface, the most stable of the three, suited to bigger riders and powerful front wings
- 375 Downwind – 375mm span, approx. 180cm² surface, built for downwind, light-wind winging, dock-starts and SUP foiling with maximum glide
- Full carbon construction throughout, T8 fuselage compatible
Real-World Feel
The 345 lets a foil release quickly through tight turns with very low drag, which suits expert riders chasing radical carving over stability. Step up through the 365 to the 385 and the ride settles progressively — more predictable pitch, smoother carving and better support for powerful front wings or heavier riders. The 375 Downwind is a different tool entirely, trading agility for huge glide and low-speed efficiency, ideal for connecting bumps on a long downwind leg rather than throwing tight turns.
Setup / Fit
Mount to a compatible T8 fuselage using the standard Kraken hardware. Choose a Progressive size based on how loose or stable you want the ride — 345 for maximum agility, 385 for maximum stability — or the 375 Downwind if glide efficiency is the priority over turning.
Materials
- Construction: full carbon

Pairs Well With
Matches the Sabfoil Blackbird, Razor, Balz Pro and Leviathan Pro front wings, along with a compatible fuselage and mast.
Why We Stock It
We stock the full Blackbird stabiliser range because most riders never try changing their stabiliser size, despite it being one of the most effective ways to tune a foil's feel. Having all four in stock makes it easy to actually experiment rather than settle for whatever came in the box.
