Description

You've just come in from a session, you're cold and sandy, and your changing mat is somewhere under the kit bags in the boot. The BeachBox Set fixes all of that. It puts a 5-litre pressure shower, a non-slip changing lid, dry storage and a 7-foot coil hose into one tidy box that lives permanently in your car boot — ready every time, whether it's glassy summer flatwater or a grim February gale.

Who It's For

Built for anyone who ends their session in a car park rather than a five-star resort. Kitesurfers rinsing salt off gear before it crusts. Wing foilers wanting a warm rinse before the drive home. Surfers who've had enough of fighting into a wetsuit change with wet hands in the rain. If your watersports kit lives in your boot, this box belongs there too.

Key Features

  • 5L insulated hand-pump pressure tank — holds hot tap water and keeps it warm; 40–50 PSI output, no batteries or power needed
  • 7ft neoprene coil hose — stretches far enough to rinse both feet and your kit without moving the box
  • Multi-spray shower gun — 5 spray modes from light mist to full shower; drawstring keeps it secured to the tank between sessions
  • Non-slip changing lid — stands on your boot floor so you're not balancing on wet tarmac; doubles as a platform to stand on while changing
  • Divider slide + 2x mini storage tubs — keeps your wax, fins, leash plugs or car keys dry and organised inside the box
  • Dry box lid + raised plate — keeps the inside dry; raised plate lifts kit off any pooled water
  • BPA-free HDPE tank — food-safe, built to handle UV and salt air year-round
  • 3-arched base + pressure release valve — stops the tank ballooning under pressure; safe to pre-pressurise before you paddle out

Real-World Feel

Fill the tank at home with hot tap water, pop it in the insulated slipcover, close the box, and drive to the beach. After your session, a few pumps builds enough pressure for a proper warm rinse — not a trickle, an actual shower. The changing lid is wide enough to stand on comfortably while you peel your wetsuit without touching the car park floor. The storage tubs mean your keys and phone aren't loose at the bottom of the boot under damp neoprene. It sounds simple. It's also the thing you'll wonder how you managed without.

Setup & Use

  1. Fill the tank with warm tap water at home via the screw-top refill cap (5L / 1.3 gal).
  2. Slide it into the neoprene insulated slipcover to retain heat on the drive.
  3. Connect the 7ft coil hose to the tank.
  4. Pump the handle 10–15 times to build pressure (40–50 PSI).
  5. Select your spray mode on the shower gun and rinse.
  6. Use the non-slip changing lid as a standing mat while you change.
  7. Store wax, fins and accessories in the mini tubs; return everything to the box.

Flow time is approximately 4–5 minutes depending on spray mode. The pressure release valve lets you safely vent the tank before opening.

Materials & Construction

  • Tank body: BPA-free HDPE food-safe plastic — won't leach, handles salt air, UV stable
  • Tank dimensions: approx. 46cm H × 19cm W × 19cm D (18" × 7.5" × 7.5")
  • Full weight: approx. 6.4 kg / 14 lbs with water
  • Hose: 7ft neoprene coil — flexible in cold temperatures, kink resistant
  • Slipcover: neoprene insulation — retains warm water temperature during transit
  • Box: durable plastic construction designed to sit ergonomically in a car boot

Pairs Well With

Why We Stock It

We've tried enough post-session car park setups to know that a good one is rare. The BeachBox actually works as a system — the shower, the storage, the changing platform and the insulation all pull in the same direction. It's compact enough to live permanently in the boot without taking over, and solid enough that it doesn't feel like a novelty after the first use. We stock it because it makes the end of every session better, and that matters.

FAQs

Does the BeachBox Set include the Shower Tank?
Yes — the full BeachBox Set includes the 5L insulated hand-pump Shower Tank, neoprene coil hose, multi-spray shower gun, non-slip changing lid, divider slide, two mini storage tubs, a dry box lid and a raised plate. Everything to set up your boot station straight out of the box.
How long does the water stay warm?
The neoprene insulated slipcover keeps water noticeably warm for 1–2 hours in typical UK conditions. Fill with hot (not boiling) tap water just before you leave home for best results on longer drives.
How much water does it hold and how long does it last?
The tank holds 5 litres (1.3 gal). Flow time is approximately 4–5 minutes depending on which spray mode you use — plenty for a full body rinse and wetsuit wash after a session.
Do I need batteries or a power source?
No. The BeachBox Shower Tank is hand-pump powered — 10–15 pumps builds enough pressure (40–50 PSI) for a strong shower flow. Nothing to charge, nothing to go flat at the beach.
Will it fit in my car boot?
The box is designed to sit ergonomically in most standard car boots. The tank is approximately 46cm tall and 19cm wide. If boot space is tight, the Shower Tank can also be used as a standalone product without the box.
