Description
The Eleveight QR V2 Cuff is the main housing assembly of the Quick-Matic V2 quick-release mechanism fitted to the CS Vary Bar Plus V4/V5 and CS Auto Bar V1. If your existing cuff has worn components or you need a genuine spare, this is the correct replacement part. Browse all kite bar spare parts and kitesurfing gear at Northern Watersports.
What Is the QR V2 Cuff?
The cuff is the body of the quick-release unit — it houses the spring, the click-in cam (the rotating locking mechanism) and the catcher. When you engage the chicken loop, the cam clicks into the cuff body and holds it secure under load. When you push the QR to release, the cam rotates and the chicken loop disconnects. The cuff must be in good condition for the release to work reliably when you need it.
Who It's For
Eleveight bar owners running a CS Vary Bar Plus V4/V5 or CS Auto Bar V1 who need to replace a worn or damaged QR cuff assembly. This is a genuine Eleveight spare for preventative maintenance or emergency replacement. Confirm your bar version before ordering — the V1 cuff geometry is different and the parts are not interchangeable.
Key Features
- Complete Cuff Assembly — includes spring, click-in cam and catcher
- 316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Components — corrosion-resistant hardware throughout
- Impact-Resistant Polyethylene Body — tough construction that handles UV and saltwater exposure
- Push-Away Release Design — Eleveight's "Safety by Simplicity" geometry: push QR away to release even under high line tension
- Compatible With: CS Vary Bar Plus V4, CS Vary Bar Plus V5, CS Auto Bar V1
Real-World Feel
The Quick-Matic V2 system is designed for low release resistance even under high line tension — the cuff geometry is central to that. If your current cuff is stiff, won't click in reliably or shows wear on the cam or catcher, replacing it restores the system to spec. Don't ride a worn quick-release. Inspect before every session and replace at the first sign of degradation.
Setup / Fit
Fits directly onto the CS Vary Bar Plus V4/V5 and CS Auto Bar V1 chicken loop assembly. Refer to the Eleveight bar manual or the official YouTube installation video for reassembly — the spring and cam orientation must be correct for the QR to function safely. One size.
Pairs Well With
- Eleveight Donkey Stick QR V2 — replace both parts together for a complete QR system maintenance
- Eleveight Leader Line Set Complete — full bar overhaul while you have it apart
Why We Stock It
Running worn QR components isn't worth the risk. We stock genuine Eleveight spare parts so our customers can maintain their safety systems with correct original parts rather than improvising. If you're unsure which bar version you have, drop us a message before ordering.
FAQs
- What does the Eleveight QR V2 Cuff assembly include?
- The QR V2 Cuff includes the cuff body, spring, click-in cam and catcher — the complete main assembly of the Quick-Matic V2 quick-release unit.
- What Eleveight bars is the QR V2 Cuff compatible with?
- The QR V2 Cuff fits CS Vary Bar Plus V4, CS Vary Bar Plus V5 and CS Auto Bar V1. It is not compatible with older CS Vary Bar V2/V3/V4 models — those use the V1 system geometry.
- How do I know when to replace my Eleveight QR cuff?
- Replace if the chicken loop doesn't click in securely, if the cuff feels stiff to release, if any plastic shows cracking, or if there's corrosion on the cam or spring. Inspect before every session.
- What is a quick-release cuff on a kite bar?
- The cuff is the housing of the quick-release mechanism. It's the part your chicken loop engages with — when you push the QR, the cuff releases the loop, allowing the kite to flag out on a single front line and depower completely.
- Can I replace just the bungee rather than the whole cuff?
- Yes — Eleveight also sells the QR V2 Cuff Bungee Set (3 pieces) separately. If your cuff body and cam are in good condition but the bungees are worn, you only need the bungee set rather than the full cuff assembly.
