The mount uses 3M high-bond adhesive to attach to the centre of your board and dual elastic bands to retain the sensor through take-offs, impacts and landings. Same profile as the 3.0 mount — if you've already got 3.0 mounts on other boards, the process is identical. At 18g it adds nothing noticeable to board weight, and the low-profile design keeps the sensor out of the way for footwork and grabs. The Woo 4.0 sensor is sold separately if you don't yet have one.

Real-World Feel
The main reason riders pick up replacement mounts is simple: adhesive bonds loosen over time with salt-water cycling, especially on older boards with UV-aged surfaces. When a mount is fresh and properly applied — clean surface, firm pressure for 60 seconds, 12–24 hours before first use — it holds well through big-air sessions and heavy landings. The dual elastic bands act as secondary retention and reliably catch the sensor even if the adhesive releases on extreme impact. The process is straightforward; the result of rushing it (mounting coming off mid-session) is annoying enough to be worth doing properly.
Installation
Clean the centre of your board with the prep pad (or isopropyl alcohol). Let the surface dry fully. Peel the 3M adhesive backing and position the mount centrally, away from the grab handle. Press firmly for one minute. Allow 12–24 hours to cure before riding. Slide the Woo sensor into the mount from the top and secure both elastic bands. To remove when changing boards: warm the adhesive with a hair dryer and peel slowly from one corner to avoid delaminating the board surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this compatible with older Woo sensors (1.0, 2.0, 3.0)?
Yes — the Woo 4.0 board mount uses the same profile as the 3.0 mount and is backward compatible with 1.0 and 2.0 sensors. If you're replacing a mount from a board that previously had a 3.0 mount, the fit and process are identical.
How long does the adhesive need to cure before riding?
Allow 12–24 hours from application for full adhesive cure. Using it too soon is the most common reason mounts detach — press firmly for 60 seconds on application and leave it overnight before your first session on that board.
My old mount left adhesive residue on the board. How do I remove it?
Gently warm the residue with a hair dryer to soften it, then rub with isopropyl alcohol on a cloth. Avoid sharp tools which can damage the board laminate. Let the surface dry fully before applying the new mount.
Can I reposition the mount after applying it?
No — once the 3M adhesive makes contact, repositioning isn't possible without destroying the bond. Measure and position carefully before peeling the backing and pressing down. The usual mounting point is the centre of the board, clear of the grab handle.
Does this work on foil boards as well as kiteboards?
Yes — the mount attaches to any flat, non-textured surface, including most foil board decks. Avoid surfaces with wax or heavily textured grip pads. Clean with the prep pad before applying for reliable adhesion.
