Description
Naish's 2026 Excalibur Semi-Complete is a high-aspect hydrofoil package built for riders who want efficiency, glide and pump endurance without sacrificing the ability to turn. The package arrives ready to ride with front wing, mast, 64 cm Alpha aluminium fuselage, E-Series stabiliser and full hardware — you just need a board.
The Excalibur is Naish's answer to whether a high-aspect foil can still be genuinely playful. Built from high-modulus carbon throughout, it features a 10.2 AR outline with a high-camber section, pronounced dihedral tip sweep and the new Alpha connection system. The result is a foil that glides and pumps with the best high-aspect designs on the market while retaining enough responsiveness for surf sessions and tight riding lines. Suited to wing foiling, downwinding, surf foiling and kite foiling.
Who It's For
The Excalibur is aimed at intermediate-to-advanced riders who have graduated from a mid-aspect foil and want to explore higher speeds, longer glides and better pump efficiency. Larger sizes (944–1344 cm²) open up downwind runs and light-wind sessions; smaller sizes (544–744 cm²) suit lighter riders and higher-speed disciplines where the high-AR geometry earns its keep. This is not an ideal first foil — the high-camber section and thinner tips reward smooth, committed inputs and won't hide imprecise technique.
Key Features
- 10.2 AR high-aspect outline — long glide, efficient pump and low drag at speed across all five sizes
- High-camber foil section — lowers stall speed so sizing down becomes achievable without sacrificing low-end lift
- High-modulus carbon construction — stiff, light front wing that transmits input cleanly with minimal flex at speed
- Dihedral tip sweep — resists ventilation, improves roll stability and makes confident tight turns more accessible on a high-AR shape
- Alpha connection system — 30% stiffer than the Legacy system via M8 bolt interface, eliminating the micro-movement that blurs feedback at speed
- 64 cm Alpha aluminium fuselage — Mini-Tuttle mast connection, compatible with existing Naish S27, 2024, 2025 and 2026 masts
- E-Series stabiliser included — optimised for speed and glide; S-Series (sold separately) available for a surfier, more pivoting feel
- Complete package — front wing, mast, fuselage, stabiliser and hardware; board not included
Real-World Feel
On the water, the Excalibur gets flying earlier than you might expect from a high-aspect shape. Once up, it carries speed through lulls — the high-camber section means it doesn't stall as abruptly as thinner high-AR designs. Pumping back to a gust or onto the next bump is efficient and natural. Turning requires commitment: this foil rewards smooth body steering over abrupt rail inputs. In waves it's capable rather than dedicated — it'll hold a line and respond to weighting, but it isn't a surf foil. As a daily driver for UK conditions — lumpy, gusty, unpredictable — it performs well across the range of sessions you'll actually encounter.
Setup and Fit
The Alpha Alu fuselage connects to the mast via Mini-Tuttle. The front wing attaches to the fuselage via the Alpha connection: two M8 bolts on sizes up to 944 cm², three M8 bolts on 1144 and 1344 cm². Use the included T30 tool for all foil hardware. Board not included — check your board's foil box type (Deep Tuttle or plate system) and confirm mast compatibility with us before ordering if you're unsure.
Materials and Construction
The Excalibur front wing is high-modulus carbon fibre throughout, keeping the wing light and rigid. The fuselage is aircraft-grade aluminium with the Alpha connection interface. The E-Series stabiliser uses composite construction. All hardware is stainless steel.
Size Guide
| Size (cm²) | Wingspan | AR | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 544 | 74.5 cm | 10.2 | Lighter riders, higher speeds, kite foiling and downwind racing |
| 744 | 87 cm | 10.2 | Intermediate-advanced riders, moderate winds, versatile downwind and wing foiling |
| 944 | 98.2 cm | 10.2 | Most popular — broad wind and rider weight range, wing foiling and downwinding |
| 1144 | 107.5 cm | 10.1 | Lighter winds, heavier riders, riders moving into high-aspect for the first time |
| 1344 | 117 cm | 10.2 | Maximum low-end, light-wind sessions, heavier riders |
Rough guide: if you currently ride a mid-aspect wing around 1000–1200 cm², the 944 Excalibur is typically the right starting point. Riders under 70 kg may prefer the 744. If in doubt, call us — getting size right on a high-aspect foil makes a significant difference to your first impressions of the design.
Pairs Well With
The Excalibur package is designed to work with the Naish foil board range — the Hover Wing Ascend for dedicated wing sessions, or the Odyssey DW for downwinding. For wing foiling, it pairs with the full wing foiling setup we stock. Want a surfier feel? Ask us about adding the S-Series stabiliser. Browse wingfoiling accessories for mast extensions, carry bags and spare hardware.
Why We Stock It
We've been riding Naish foils since the early days of wing foiling and the Excalibur is the most versatile high-aspect option they've built to date. It's the foil we'd recommend to a regular customer moving beyond their first mid-aspect setup — it rewards progression without punishing you while you're getting there. Stocking the full five-size run means we can put you on the right size, not just the one we happen to have on the shelf.
FAQs
What's included in the Naish Excalibur Semi-Complete package?
The package includes the Excalibur HA front wing (in your chosen size), mast, 64 cm Alpha aluminium fuselage, E-Series stabiliser, and all hardware including a T30 tool. A board is not included.
Do I need to buy anything else to start riding?
You'll need a compatible foil board. Check your board's foil box type — Naish masts use Deep Tuttle or plate connections depending on the model. We're happy to advise if you call or message us before ordering.
Is the Excalibur suitable for a beginner?
Honestly, no. The high-aspect design rewards smooth, progressive inputs and penalises overcorrection. It's best suited to riders already comfortable on foil who want to develop technique and efficiency. If you're just starting out, the Siren is a more forgiving choice.
What's the difference between the Naish Excalibur and the Siren?
The Excalibur is Naish's high-aspect foil (AR ~10.2) — excels at speed, glide and pump efficiency. The Siren is mid-aspect (AR ~8.2–8.5) and prioritises stability, manoeuvrability and early lift, making it better for waves, freestyle and riders still developing. The Excalibur goes faster and glides further; the Siren turns more freely and is easier to manage in critical moments.
Can I swap the E-Series stabiliser for an S-Series?
Yes. The S-Series stabiliser is sold separately and works on the same Alpha fuselage. It gives a surfier, more pivoting feel versus the efficiency-focused E-Series that comes in the package.
Is the 2026 Naish Excalibur compatible with older Naish masts?
The Alpha fuselage uses the existing Mini-Tuttle mast connection, so it is compatible with Naish S27, 2024 and 2025 masts. The Alpha front-wing-to-fuselage connection is new for 2026 and is not backward compatible with the Legacy fuselage system.
