Description

The Circle One 9'6 Heritage Noserider is a dedicated wave-catching machine, built for riders who want to walk to the nose and stay there. With a massive 80.5 litres of volume it offers a smooth, stable, "cadillac" ride, and a deep nose concave that generates lift the moment you step forward.

What's it built from?

  • EPS high-density pressurised foam core — light, responsive and buoyant
  • Epoxy resin — stronger than polyester resin, with better impact resistance and a superior strength-to-weight ratio
  • Premium Porcher E-Glass fibreglass — for exceptional durability and consistent flex
  • Crosslink reinforcement on deck and rails for maximum impact resistance
  • Unidirectional full-length 4-ply wood stringer — strength and controlled flex
  • Hot coat durable outer shield finish, topped with a rich gloss resin tint — available in Bottle Green, Teal Blue or Duck Egg

What makes the finish special?

The Heritage range uses a premium epoxy resin tint — a traditional technique that colours the resin itself rather than painting over it, for a deep, translucent finish. Every board is hand-laminated and hand-finished, so the tint creates unique colours and sometimes patterns, making each board a one-of-a-kind piece. It's shaped using modernised templates by Jeff Townsley, founder of Circle One and an OG of British shaping since the 1970s.

How is it shaped to noseride?

  • Wide platform and deep nose concave — generates lift while you're hanging ten
  • 50/50 rail profile through the body, transitioning to 60/40 at the tail — keeps the board locked in the pocket
  • Nose concave running to flat, then a vee through the tail — the traditional noserider bottom contour
  • Single fin on a standard longbox — directional hold and that smooth, flowing classic-longboard feel; fin sold separately

Sizing

9'6" x 23¾" x 3½" — 80.5 litres.

Who it's for

Beginners after the most forgiving, wave-friendly shape in the range, developing longboarders working on cross-stepping and trim, and experienced surfers specifically chasing the noseriding discipline — hanging five, hanging ten, classic style. Suited to knee-high to overhead surf and beginner-to-advanced ability, at its best in small to medium, slower-peeling waves.

Rider verdict

Built for one job and does it brilliantly — if hanging ten is the goal, this is the board that gets you there.
