Description
The Circle One Heritage 7'6" Mini Mal is a classic mid-length shape finished in a striking gloss resin tint, built for surfers who want stability and glide without the bulk of a full longboard. Shaped by Jeff Townsley, a founding figure in British surfboard shaping since the 1970s, it carries 56.53 litres of volume in a balanced, easy-paddling outline that suits everyone from progressing beginners to experienced surfers after a fun, reliable all-rounder.
What makes it such a dependable all-rounder?
- Full nose and generous mid-length outline — paddles early and easily, so you spend more time riding waves and less time chasing them.
- Round tail with single-to-double concave running to a vee — keeps the board stable underfoot while still responsive enough to draw out longer, controlled turns.
- FCS II finboxes, thruster setup — the tool-free system used by more surfers worldwide than any other; fins are sold separately so you can dial in the exact feel you want.
- Premium Epoxy Resin Tint finish — a deep, translucent colour that's mixed into the resin rather than painted on, so every hand-laminated board has its own unique tone.
- EPS core, epoxy resin and Porcher E-glass fibreglass — with crosslink reinforcement on the deck and rails, a full-length 4-ply wood stringer for controlled flex, and a hot coat outer finish.
Sizing
7'6" x 22½" x 2¾", 56.53 litres of volume. Rated beginner to advanced, working from knee-high through to overhead surf. Available in Bottle Green, Teal Blue or Duck Egg gloss tint.
What's in the box
The board only — FCS II fins are sold separately, so you can choose the set-up that suits your surfing.
Who it's for
Beginners stepping up from a soft-top who want stability without giving up a proper hard-board feel; progressing and intermediate surfers after one reliable board for a wide range of conditions; and experienced surfers wanting to maximise wave count on smaller or slower days.
Rider verdict
A genuine do-it-all mid-length — easy enough to build confidence on early, with enough board under your feet to keep it fun long after you've moved past the beginner stage.
