Description
The Circle One Heritage 7' Egg brings a golden-era shape into a modern build — a rounded, forgiving outline in a gloss resin tint finish that makes every board genuinely one of a kind. Shaped by Jeff Townsley, a founding figure in British surfboard shaping since the 1970s, it sits neatly between a longboard and a performance mid-length. With 42.49 litres of volume, it's stable enough for a surfer still learning to pop up, yet its hand-shaped rails give more experienced riders something to lean into on bigger days.
What makes the Egg shape work?
- Rounded nose and tail — a smooth, predictable outline that bridges the gap between a longboard's ease and a shortboard's manoeuvrability.
- Round tail with a concave-to-vee bottom contour — keeps the board lively and controllable as you push into turns.
- FCS II finboxes, thruster setup — the tool-free system used by more surfers worldwide than any other; fins are sold separately so you can pick the exact feel you want.
- Premium Epoxy Resin Tint finish — a deep, translucent colour that sits in the resin itself rather than being painted on. Because each board is hand-laminated and hand-finished, the tint gives every board its own unique look.
- EPS core, epoxy resin and Porcher E-glass fibreglass — with crosslink reinforcement on the deck and rails, a full-length 4-ply wood stringer for controlled flex, and a hot coat outer finish for durability.
Sizing
7' 0" x 21¼" x 2½", 42.49 litres of volume. Rated beginner to advanced, and happy from knee-high right through to overhead surf. Available in Bottle Green, Teal Blue or Duck Egg gloss tint.
What's in the box
The board only — FCS II fins are sold separately, so you can choose the exact set-up that suits your surfing.
Who it's for
Beginners who want a stable, forgiving shape with room to grow into; intermediates after a genuinely versatile one-board quiver; experienced surfers wanting a fun, responsive mid-length; and longboarders looking to size down without losing paddle power or stability.
Rider verdict
A proper one-board-quiver shape — friendly enough to build confidence on, but with enough rail line to reward better technique as you progress. The gloss tint finish means yours won't look like anyone else's.
