Description

The Circle One SSR 9ft x 26in Extra Wide is the largest board in the SSR range, built to guarantee a wave count for even the largest beginner surfer. At just under 126L volume, it's ultra-stable and forgiving — a board Circle One's surf school customers rely on whenever nothing but maximum volume will do.

What Makes an SSR Board Different?

  • Shaped by Jeff Townsley — Circle One's founder and shaper, designed specifically for UK surf schools and rental operations, and built to work in British wave conditions
  • Performance edge at the tail — encourages progression from whitewater into turning on cleaner waves
  • Soft fin thruster (3-fin) set-up — fins included, giving predictable drive and hold
  • Squash tail, single concave to slight V bottom — a genuine performance shape underneath the soft deck, not just a foam blank
  • Carry handle — makes it easier to manage and carry down to the sea, despite the volume
  • Soft IXPE textured 'foamie' skin — grippy underfoot and a softer landing if you fall on the board

Sizing

9ft x 26in extra-wide, 125.9L volume. Suited to riders around 60-150kg, in wave heights from 2ft to 6ft.

What's in the Box

The board comes with its fins included, ready to ride.

Who It's For

The biggest or heaviest beginner riders who need maximum volume to get up and riding, plus surf schools that want a dedicated board for their larger customers.

Rider Verdict

The go-to when nothing smaller floats you properly — surf school operators reach for this size specifically for bigger riders, and it shows in the confidence it gives on the wave.
