MBS Colt 90X is an awesome entry-level mountainboard that comes fully assembled and equipped with a brake system that every year gives thousands of new mountainboarders the confidence to tackle this exciting new sport. This year’s Colt 90X has undergone more improvements than ever before. By upgrading its tires to genuine MBS T1 tires with specially formulated high-rebound rubber material MBS has made this year’s Colt 90 more than twice as fast as last year’s, and by upgrading the Colt 90’s tube material to high-grade butyl rubber we’ve reduced air loss and flats to little more than a memory. Other wheel improvements include genuine MBS rubber-shielded 12x28mm bearings and MBS’ brand new FiveStar hubs.

In addition to the obvious performance enhancements these upgrades offer they have made the Colt 90X more compatible with the rest of the MBS line so the choice to one day upgrade your hubs or trucks is as simple as that.

What’s New?

5-Star Hub – In 2015 we’ve upgraded the stock Core 94 hub to the brand new 5-Star hub. In addition to being stronger and able to handle higher tire pressure compared to the old Twistar hubs, the 5-Star hubs can be fitted with both 8″ and 9″ tires so riders can upgrade to MBS T2 9″ tires when they’re ready tackle the next level of freeride hills.

ATS.12 Truck – We’ve upgraded the MBS ATS trucks with 12mm axles so you can throw all the abuse you want at them without fear of ever bending an axle.

Bearing Upgrade – In addition to the Colt 90’s hub and truck upgrades we’ve also upgraded its bearings to genuine MBS 6001-2RS bearings (12x28mm) meaning the entire MBS line now uses a single bearing spec. Say goodbye to bearing compatibility charts and hello to true compatibility.

Tire Upgrade – It may not be the most noticeable, but perhaps the most significant Colt 90 change is the upgrade to genuine MBS T1 tires. With MBS’ specially formulated high-rebound rubber compound this year’s Colt 90 is more than twice as fast as last year’s.

Tube Upgrade – Another unseen hero of the new Colt 90 is the newly upgraded genuine MBS butyl rubber inner tube. Lighter, longer-lasting, and less flats.
