Description

The Reedin FlightAttendant is the foil wing that unlocks the whole sport. Six sizes from 780 to 2300 cm² — all mid-aspect ratio (AR ~5.6–5.9) — tuned around one idea: making foiling feel natural before it feels technical. Low stall speed means it gets you airborne sooner than you expect; curved wingtips make ventilation a minor inconvenience rather than a crash; and a wide wind-and-weight window means you're not constantly fighting the wrong size. From your first water-start through to confident carves and beach launches, this is the wing that makes it all possible. From £479.

Who It's For

Anyone getting into wingfoiling, kitefoiling, surf or tow foiling for the first time, and intermediate riders who want a forgiving do-everything foil they can push without punishing mistakes. The 780 suits lighter riders and experienced riders doing freestyle; 980 and 1280 cover most all-round wing and kite foilers; 1480 extends the window lower and wider; 1880 and 2300 open up lighter wind and heavier riders. If you're unsure where to start, 1280 or 1480 covers the widest range of UK conditions and rider weights — message us and we'll give you a straight answer for your specific setup.

Key Features

  • Mid-aspect ratio AR ~5.6–5.9 across all six sizes — the sweet spot between lift, stability and manoeuvrability; easy to learn on, still rewarding to push
  • Very low stall speed — get airborne in less wind with less effort; beginners get on foil faster, and everyone benefits in lighter conditions
  • High stall angle — smooth recovery from jump landings and accidental breaches; reengages predictably rather than diving
  • Curved anti-ventilation wingtips — prevents ventilation travelling inboard when a tip breaks the surface; keeps you flying when most foils would pitch
  • Six sizes: 780, 980, 1280, 1480, 1880, 2300 cm² — from powered freestyle to very light wind and heavy riders in one range
  • Multi-discipline — wing, kite, tow, surf and wake foiling on the same wing; no swaps needed
  • Full carbon construction — stiff, light and durable; supplied with mounting screws

Real-World Feel

The FlightAttendant is genuinely easy — and that is not an insult. On a 1280 or 1480, the wing does most of the work: it finds lift early, stays in the air through minor errors, and reengages after a breach with a predictable thump rather than a dive. You focus on your riding, not on managing equipment. For intermediates it's liberating — you can push into carves and faster turns knowing the wing will handle it. At 780 it tightens up and becomes fast and playful; at 2300 it is almost effortless in barely-there wind. And mid-aspect turns feel natural — proper carving arcs you feel through your feet, not the scripted lines of a high-aspect wing.

Setup and Fit

The FlightAttendant fits all Reedin fuselages and is the front wing in the complete FlightAttendant Aluminium and Carbon foil sets. Pair with the FA Stabilizer: 198 cm² for powered or lighter conditions; 227 cm² as the all-round choice; 271 cm² for light wind and larger wings. Compatible with all Reedin aluminium and carbon masts. Supplied with mounting screws. Part of Reedin's fully modular system — start here and swap components as your riding develops.

Materials

  • Construction: Full carbon composite
  • Finish: High-gloss gelcoat
  • Fuselage connection: Reedin standard (compatible with all Reedin fuselages and masts)

Pairs Well With

Why We Stock It

We stock the FlightAttendant because it's the honest entry point into the sport — and the honest backbone of any serious quiver. A lot of riders look at the specs and assume they need to jump straight to high-aspect. The FlightAttendant is what we recommend first, because getting comfortable on a forgiving mid-aspect wing teaches you to ride, not just to manage equipment. We've seen plenty of riders come back after a season on a FlightAttendant ready to step up to the ElCapitano — and they're significantly better prepared for it than riders who skipped this stage. It's not a compromise. It's a foundation.
